Hi All,
I have just copied this from the MiniDirectory - it's a letter that has been sent out to all NMOC members..
"Dear member
In November 2007, Trisha was diagnosed with a serious illness which necessitated surgery and now needs ongoing treatment. For this reason and it is with much regret, I have decided that, after 29 years, we are to stand down and from 1st February 2008, and the Club will cease to operate memberships.
If your membership has six months or more left before expiry and you would like a (pro-rata) refund, please forward a covering letter giving all the details we require such as name, address and membership number which must be included and a stamped addressed envelope (to yourself), to the club office and it will be refunded to you in due course. (if the membership number and /or s.a.e. are not included we shall be unable to return any monies) All requests must be with us by no later than Tuesday 1st April 2008.
However i am pleased to say that, due to my extensive knowedge of, and experiance with, minis / MINIs over the years (more then i dare count!), i will be continuing in an advisory capacity helping to keep the Mini still alive and will be working with the National magazines, publishers, Insurance companies, DVLA, Valuations and judging ect still using the banner of National Mini Owners Club.
STANFORD 2008 will still continue to run; this year on Sunday September 14th and i am delighted that the show is still being sponsored by MiniWorld. When adverts run in the magazines, it will still be under the banner of National Mini Owners Club and Mini World Magazine.
I hope you will understand our situation and reasons for our decision. Thank you all for your support, help and friendship you have given us over the years, hopefully I will still see you at the shows throughout the forthcoming season!
Regards
Chris and Trisha Cheal
N.M.O.C."
I say we make this years Stanford Hall the best ever!
